US blacklists 71 Russian, Belarusian companies

MOSCOW, Jun 3 (PRIME) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce published late Thursday a new blacklist containing 71 Russian firms, including the Ilyushin Aviation Complex, the Rubin Central Design Bureau, the Malakhit Marine Engineering Bureau, the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau, and Belarusian firms punished over Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.

The restrictions also target several affiliates of the Russian Academy of Sciences, company Gazprom Neft Shelf, the main administration for deep sea exploration of the Defense Ministry and several other entities.

The sanctions will bar the organizations from purchasing U.S. equipment or products made with the U.S. technologies or software.
